2004

Apart from the locally organised meetings, drives and events, Members can enjoy national events.  The club's main site www.mx5oc.co.uk has more details.

There are also a number of track days.  A new site, www.uktrackdays.co.uk, shows more details of track days around the United Kingdom.  You might also like to take a look at their Beginners' Guide, which I found quite useful.

There is now a National Events Phone Line - 07799 410936.

April Saturday 24 - Castle Combe Spring Action Day, Chippenham, Wiltshire

The track supplied the following information...

"1. We will NOT be charging Owners Clubs for 2004

2. We will issue clubs with a maximum of 12 entry tickets FOC

3. Track Passes will be available for purchase at a discounted rate for Owners Clubs only.  These will only be available in ADVANCE and will be charged at £15 for 5 laps but must also be used by 11 AM. Track passes bought on day will be for a timed session (every 15 minutes and colour coded) - £30 for 5 laps.

4. We will be reducing number of cars on track to 28 and because of timed sessions hopefully this will reduce the long queues as drivers will not need to queue until about 15 minutes before their session.

5. Application forms will be sent in usual way hopefully by end of Feb."

If you are interested in this day please let me know as soon as possible.  I am about to request tickets for our Area
