This event is strictly pre-book only. In order to comply with health and safety guidance, no visitors will be allowed entry on the day without a valid ticket. Tickets are per car/motorcycle, rather than per person.

This event is for classic/vintage/interesting vehicles only. If you would like to come in a vehicle that does not fall into these categories, please contact The Motor Hub to be put on the reserve list. Any registrations received that do not qualify will be refunded!

Peter Cate best known for his ten years as an Aston Martin factory driver and his prior BTCC successes. He will be discussing his new book "Racing Hell - The Hidden Truths of Motorsport" amongst a broader debate on the state of modern motorsport.

13 April 2024:   Saturday Extra Drive - Stourhead House & Gardens


This drive is being arranged by Gary & Julie Ridgway.

• This is in addition to the usual monthly Sunday drives.
• Meet at Knead bakery , Elkstone GL53 9PQ from 8:30am to depart at 9:15am
• We will drive through 3 counties to the National Trust’s Stourhead House and Garden.
• Stroll through the landscape Gardens with Temples and grotto’s or visit the house.
• Bring a picnic or use one of the two cafes. Plenty to do and see.

The return will take in a toll bridge so you will need either a £1 coin or a card to hand. Optional pub meal on the return leg.

Sunday 21st April 2024:   Shelsley - Midland Auto Club - Classic Car Run 2024

The Classic and Sports section of the MAC (Midland Automobile Club, Shelsley Walsh) has organised a classic car run that will start from 4 different locations and finish at Shelsley Walsh, where participants will have the opportunity to experience driving our famous hill climb. Vintage, classic and modern sports cars are eligible. The event is open to all MAC Members and non members.

The 4 start locations are:

1. The Classic Motor Hub, Old Walls, Ablington, Cirencester, GL7 5FF
2. Burford House Garden Centre, Worcestershire, WR15 8HQ
3. Bridgnorth Garden Centre, Bridgnorth Road, Shipley, Wolverhampton, WV6 7EJ
4. Cotswold Food Store, Longborough, Moreton-in-Marsh, GL56 0QZ

Vintage and classic cars together with modern sports cars are all eligible. Entries will be accepted and starts allocated on a first come first served basis and entry includes:

• These events can be attended by all who own or have an interest in specialist motors or for those who simply want to come along and enjoy the spectacle in a picturesque countryside setting.
• It is free to attend and there will be food and drink available to purchase on the night!
• During the evening meet they will be serving takeaway food including their renowned Lashford Sausage Baps, or their vegan alternative warm Vegetable Samosas.

Sunday 26th May 2024:     Pageant of Transport - Weston-Super-Mare Sea Front.

The event is situated on the beach lawns in Weston-super-Mare right next to the seafront. Traditionally it has been a show for classic cars but as its Pageant of Transport they would like to see a whole variety of transport options. Cars, motorbikes, tractors, lorries, buses & military vehicles. Anything of interest is certainly welcome.
Vehicle entry onto the lawns is £5 per vehicle per day (plus .75 booking fee).
The event is run by and in aid of which is Weston-super-Mare Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets.
Tickets are on sale now via the web site on a first come first served basis. There is also an option to buy a commemorative plaque (£7.50) online with your entry tickets, the commemorative plaques will be available to pick up at the Sea Cadets tents over the event day so just bring a copy of your ticket so we can hand over your plaque to you.

Note: The pageant is over two days so make sure you select tickets for SUNDAY 26th May. You need to put SWM MX5 Owners Club in the car club box to be parked with the club.

7-9th June 2024:   Wales Long Weekend Away



Gary is planning a scenic route with plenty of stops along the way. We can arrive at our destination from 4pm with time to check-in and unpack before enjoying an evening meal together at our B & B.

Saturday 8th June - after breakfast we will drive to Pendine Sands with a pre booked visit to the land speed museum at a discounted price of £6.30 per person. This includes parking in their special car display arena with plenty of photo opportunities. Pendine has 7 miles of golden sands with lots of cafes, picnic spots and yummy ice cream. We plan to arrive at Pendine by midday and depart around 3pm. Our return drive back to our B & B will take in some beautiful scenery with another stop along the way at either a National Trust property or the village of Laugharne. On Saturday evening we will again enjoy an evening meal together at our B & B.

The area around our B & B is very scenic and we might be able to fit in a brief evening drive on some interesting roads.

Sunday 9th June - after breakfast we depart for the drive to Compton Verney for The National. Please remember to bring your ticket which I understand will be in the next edition of STHT which is due to be issued on 27th May. This journey will take a couple of hours and so Gary will ensure we have a few comfort stops along the way.

The MX-5 National is the largest MX-5 event in the World with regularly over 1500 MX-5s of every generation and style attending the show.

This year is a special year for the Owners Club as we celebrate 35 years of the MX5 and the 30th anniversary of the Club, and to celebrate these milestones, we will host a twin celebration on Sunday 9 June.

This extravaganza will be held at Compton Verney, a beautiful and historic house in Warwickshire, which sits in beautiful grounds designed by landscape gardener Capability Brown. Inside is an incredible gallery that contains a wide range of interesting pieces, including art from the likes of Joshua Reynolds, collections detailing British society through the years, Neapolitan art and artefacts from China.

Tickets for this one-off celebratory event are included in your membership, and there will be plenty to do and see on the day. There will be a collections cover charge to upgrade your visit to the gallery (more details to follow), as well as an engaging programme of activities throughout the day. We've already lined up a number of very special guests, and there's much more in the pipeline.

Members' cars will line the drive and lawns, and the very best examples will go head-to-head for the Anniversary pride of ownership competition. There will also be traders, tech talks, live music and entertainment - and members willl be able to soak up that fantastic community vibe as we all share our passion and appreciation for MX-5s.

Saturday 6th July 2024:   Stow on the Wold Motor & Dog Show



Entry is £6 per vehicle to the QEII Cricket field showground. Note: Field access and exit is up and down a slight slope. This is not a problem for historic tractors, motorbikes and most cars. Prestigious vehicles with extremely low ground clearance can reserve one of the limited number of parking spaces in the town square for £15. Bookings for the Stow Square are on a first come, first served basis. Confirmation of entry to the showground or town square will be sent once payment has been received.

The field opens at 10:00 for vehicle exhibitors. All vehicles must be on site by 11:30. For the Stow Square vehicles are invited to be in the Square by 10.00:

When you click on the car club name, you will get the discounted ticket price and club parking, and the organisers get to know how many are booked in for our club. We must have at least 10 cars to be able to park together.

Gates open for general admission. Hill action starts at 09.00am and finishes at approx. 5.00pm each day. It is suggested that you arrive between 8.00am – 10.00am to be in position on your car club stand. Upon arrival at the event, please enter via the show field and ask the marshal to navigate you to the relevant car club. It would greatly help speed up the process if you have your tickets ready to hand.
Your admission ticket includes access to the paddock, hill, courtyard and spectator enclosures.

We are pleased to announce the MX-5 Owners Club has been selected to exhibit at the 2024 Silverstone Festival and that members will be able to display their cars on an infield pitch with our Club display package.

The Festival goes ahead on the August Bank Holiday (23-25th August 2024) with thousands of classic cars on display, golden era motor racing and epic on-track showdowns across three jam packed days, rounded off with live music every night, the Festival is probably the best and most accessible Classic car event on Calendar.

The fantastic infield display package (two adult admission tickets and one infield car display pass) your Club membership brings huge saving on all weekend tickets.

Sat 31st August 2024:   RAF Brize Norton Families Day

Members will only be allowed entry once they have received confirmation from Brize Norton after sending in the application form below.


With the upcoming family’s day festival at RAF Brize Norton we would like you to join us with some of your vehicles for display alongside the largest aircraft in the RAF’s strategic transport fleet.
The event will consist of a funfair, static aircraft displays, a flypast, a parachute display (weather permitting), food stalls, traders, an open-air concert in the evening and all kinds of other entertainments and festivities.
Being part of the Autosport display will get you access to the day’s events and exclusive access to an active RAF airfield where you will be parked on the 99Sqn aircraft servicing apron alongside the UK’s strategic transport fleet, including C17-A Globemaster, Voyager, the Atlas A400M and various other static aircraft.
This would provide a fantastic display and also some excellent photographic opportunities as well as an opportunity to promote your vehicles.

Welcome to the Newent Car and Classic, the event is a celebration of every shape and form of the combustion engine. The idea behind the show is for you the enthusiast to show other like minded enthusiasts what you have hidden behind the doors of your garage or shed.
The show serves as a vibrant and diverse gathering for enthusiasts, collectors and families with a stunning array and mix of cars, motorcycles, vans, 4x4s and tractors. We will leave at 11am for a short drive to Hampton Court Castle arriving around midday. Sunday 1st December 2024:   Coffee & Classics Christmas Special at The Classic Motor Hub


Post Visit (Optional) – 1:30 pm Scenic drive to Cotswold Barn for refreshments – 45 Minutes.

This winter the Classic Motor Hub will again be hosting their Christmas Coffee and Classics on Sunday 1st December between 10am – 3pm, with a wide range of Christmas gifts available from a variety of retailers ready to fill up your stockings! Booking is available for either a morning (10am – 1pm) or afternoon (12pm - 3pm) slot.

This Christmas Coffee and Classics event is strictly pre-book only. In order to comply with health and safety guidance, no visitors will be allowed entry on the day without a valid ticket. Tickets are per car/motorcycle, rather than per person.
